default
Posted on Wed, 6 Jan 2016
Question: I hit my head on a cabinet corner pretty hard on Saturday night. Now I have a headache around that part of the head. Kind of sick to my stomach but I probably am just nervous, do I need to get checked out?

Brief Answer:
No need to rush.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

I don't think you should worry much more than necessary about your condition, since ( I assume ) you didn't experienced any loss or clouding of consciousness after hitting the head and three days have passed.

Pain at damaged area is justified for a few days.

In my opinion, you should try to relax about it, and you can use symptomatic treatment for a couple of days with Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day and Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day.

If headaches and feeling nauseous persist after a couple of days, or worsen, then you should be medically evaluated.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
