What Is The Reason For Hard Cough With Cold,headache,ear Bleed Qand Sore Throat?

Question: have been having hard coughing spells with this cold, two(2) days ago my left ear blead a little, however it has appeared to have stopped, is this a cause for condern ? Nothing seems to stop these coughing spells, rib cage hurts, headche, sore throat, etc

Brief Answer: May be due to Post nasal drip... Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Headache, ear bleed, sore throat all signifies upper respiratory tract infection and may include sinus and ear infections. cough spell may be secondary to post nasal drip due to all these. I think you must get a chest xray, complete blood count, and pharyngeal swab culture sensitivity. Empirically may try, a combination of amoxycillin-clavulanic acid azithromycin along with cough suppressant like codein preparations... Ask your physician for the abovesaid prescriptions...
