Detailed Answer:
Thank you for using our services for your health concerns!

I am sad to hear your history and i feel your pain. Carcinoma of ampulla of vater of stage 3 with history of lynch syndrome and familial cancers of colon of stage is really a difficult disease due to its recurrence nature. The odds of survival depends upon many features . Survival duration after surgical resection is related to the extent of local invasion of the primary lesion, lymph node involvement, vascular invasion, perineural invasion, cellular differentiation, uninvolved surgical margins, and perioperative blood transfusion. Usually 3 out of 4 surgeries end up in treatment failure. Survival odds for 5 years for local, regional, unknown, and distant stages were 45%, 31%, 14%, and 4%, respectively. In your case these odds are between 14 to 30 %.

Please stay in close touch with your oncologist and dont lose hope. Even if the odds were one percent, hope that one percent was you, Sign up to some group therapies, have psychotherapy sessions to help you fight with chronic depressive illnesses like this . My prayers are with you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Regards
Khan
