Brief Answer:
No evidence that LIV52 helps in hepatosteatosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Fatty liver is due to accumulation of fat in the liver cells, they enlarge in size giving extra weight to liver. But they do not seem to cause inflammatory reaction in the liver initially. This is called Hepatosteatosis.

The studies were found that LIV52 (herbal formula by Himalaya) is not done good in patients with just Hepatosteatosis without inflammation. So if a drug has no beneficial affects why should you take it? There are no clear clinical trials to confirm its protective effect on liver. However LIV52 has shown good results in trials conducted on patients hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease and liver cirrhosis.

I suggest you to proceed with time tested, efficient therapies for fatty liver such as cut down intake of fat, lose weight, increase consumption of fibre rich diet, regular exercise. These will definitely have a positive outcome in the process.

All the best.
