Brief Answer:
For now, there is no indication for a biopsy!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what you have reported. I have reviewed this information fully. I have also reviewed the attached result report. This shows that he has thickened cortex. This could be caused by an inflammatory reaction which could be to drugs, infection, auto-immune process, idiopathic, etc. For now, there is really no way to say what the exact treatment would be but he will certainly need to follow up with a renal function evaluation to understand what is happening. This is certainly not cancer as the bladder and kidneys cannot be simultaneously be implicated. This is more of a systemic process which has not be fully identified but further testing will shed more light on this. If testing is inconclusive, only at that time would aggressive approaches as biopsy be considered and that is his kidney function is deteriorating or the observed thickenings are increasing.

I hope this help sheds some light on this. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me for more exchanges.
