Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. There are many causes of liver showing fatty changes
(i) Increased intake of fatty foods and alcohol
(ii) Over weight and obese patients.
(iii) Those who have fatty liver running in family members.
(iv) Any liver condition that is changing appearance of liver.
(v) Mild fatty liver can also be there in many normal people
2. Focal fatty sparing is an area in the liver where there the fat content is not increased and this is a common finding. It is not due to any disease and not a serious concern.
3. No discrete focal lesions means that there is no other abnormality in the liver.
4. No intrahepatic biliary dilatation means there is no signs of jaundice and this is a normal finding.
5. It is advised that you get following tests done
(i) liver function tests including SGPT, SGOT, Alkaline phosphatase, GGT, total direct and indirect bilirubin and proteins
(ii) lipid profile test to know if you have elevated cholesterol levels
(iii) random blood sugar level
6. If you have any cause like alcohol intake and eating fatty foods then please control them.
7. For bloating please take meals regularly and avoid spicy foods. Drink adequate amounts of water and fresh juices. Avoid mental stress and keep your mind relaxed. Please take gastritis medicines if given by your doctor. If symptoms persist even after a month then please get a upper gastrointestinal endoscopy done to know if you have gastritis or acid reflux disease.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

impression: diffuse fatty infiltration of the liver. no biliary dilatation
Increased fat content in liver
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Diffuse fatty infiltration is the same as fatty liver. It means that the fat amount in the liver is mildly increased.
2. No biliary dilatation is mentioned to indicate that you do not have obstructive jaundice. It is a part of normal findings when doing ultrasound scan.
3. The suggestions are the same as discussed earlier.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
