Question: Hello!
I just got my Semen Analysis Report and it goes as below:
Volume: 3.5 ML
Appearance: Greyish White
Liquefaction Time: 35 Minutes
Viscosity: Normal
pH: 8.0

For Rapid Progressive, Slow/Sluggish Progressive, Non Progressive and Immotile, its just mentioned as "SLUGGISHLY MOTILE SPERMATOZOA SEEN"

RBC: Nil
Pus Cells: 0.25 Mill/ml
Immature testicular('Round') cells: 1-2/HPF
Epithelial cells: OCCASIONAL

No total amount of Sperms present in per ml or in total Ejaculation is mentioned.
Please Help as we want to have a 2nd kid and have been trying for some time now. (We already have a 10 Year old daughter).
I am 37 Years old and my wife is 36.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Presence of infection in semen

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

The interpretation of semen analysis report is as follows:
The physical characters of the seminal fluid - volume, appearance, pH, viscosity and liquefaction time is within normal limits.
The sperm count is not mentioned, however, the motility is mentioned.
Sperm count is very important to assess the adequacy of semen sample.
The motility of sperms is below normal range. Atleast 40% sperms should have active, progressive, forward motion.
Values below this percentage is subnormal.
Presence of pus cells and epithelial cells suggest presence of infection in the reproductive tract.
Presence of 1-2 immature cells/ hpf is also within normal limits.

These findings suggest presence of infection in the semen.
Consult your doctor with report for treatment of infection in the genital tract.
The semen test should be repeated after treatment of infection.
An opinion can be given after treating the infection.

Thanks and take care
