Brief Answer:
Neoplastic lesion and lymph nodes refers to cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. The CT scan neck report shows a growth in the neck region. The exact location of the growth is in the throat region on left side which is described as the pyriform fossa.

2. The terms growth and neoplastic process refer to cancer. Cancer is describes in many different ways including malignancy, growth and mass. Therefore your doctor is correct and a possibility of cancer exists pending pathological confirmation.

3. There is also mention of neck lymphnodes and this might be an indirect sign of cancer.

Please consult a head and neck oncologist and get evaluated in detail and start treatment at the earliest. Most cancers are curable when detected and treated in early stage.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
