Brief Answer:
Not problematic,within average range...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

1. Volume: Normal (higher than 2.0 ml)
2. pH normal
3. total count: normal (higher than 40 million)
4. sperm concentration: normal (higher than 20 million)
5. Motility : normal (higher than 50%)
6. abnormal forms : upper limit (up to 30%)

Overall, it is a normal sperm analysis. Motility is within average range, so, there is no problem.

However, I did not see any report regarding the white and red blood cells to detect the presence of any infection or other problems.

All the best!

Brief Answer:
Sperm/urine culture&start folic acid advised...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for providing additional data of yours.

Morphology is within normal range too.

Pus cells are within the upper limit. I advise to do a culture of semen and urine to rule out infection before starting to think to have a baby. Your partner should be tested for vaginal and/or urine infection (vaginal swab testing, urine analysis/culture).

If infection is detected, I highly advise to cure it correctly through oral antibiotics. You can think to have a baby 2 weeks after finishing the course of antibiotics.

Meanwhile, both of you can consider to take folic acid from this moment as it will increase chances for conception according to some studies. You can discuss this further with your doctor too.

Good luck!

Hi doctor,
Thank you for your previous Feedback.
There is just one part i can't understand and our doc advised that this part is unclear. And i really need to understand this it says in the report that total motility is 85% which i guess it's a good percentage but than its says the PR the progressive sperms are only 15% and the non progressive sperms are 85%...how can the total motility be 85% which is a good sign or a normal range as you said it's above 50% while the progressive sperms are only 15%. Dosn't this mean that we have a problem as the one which moves are only 15%...and if it's like this how can the total motility be 85% shouldn't it be less than this? I'm his partner and i really don't want to proceed with other
examinations if this part is unclear? Can you please explain this part to me ? Are this figures correct or is there something wrong with the report itself?

I really appreciate your Help..Many Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
Following parameters to consider...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for your follow up queries.

1. You are reporting that overall motility is 85% 30 minutes after ejaculation. In other words, 85% of sperm are swimming (in movement). So, it is within normal values as proposed by WHO (higher than 50%).

2. With regards to progressive motility, it is showing the percentage of spermatozoa swimming from one place to another apart going around small circles). The normal range is higher than 25%. Yours is 15%.

As there are many factors influencing, with adequate diet and lifestyle changes, can improve the sperm motility.

3. There is another parameter (which I did not noted in your reports) called "% Rapid & Linear Motility" describing the percent of sperm swimming at least 25 microns per second, with a fairly straight path.

These sperm have been shown by research that can go through the cervical mucus into the uterus and tubes. Normally ranged higher than 12%.

So, as you may see, there are some parameters to determine fertility when it comes to motility.

As I do not want to get you confused, I advise to continue with lifestyle and diet changes first and repeat testing 1 month after the changes are implemented. You can discuss it further with your gynecologist.

Hope it helped!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Ok, try these healthy changes first and see the changes for the next 2 months. If no improvement, should discuss further with gynecologist to find out the right solution.

I am sure you'll have a baby soon.

Good luck and God bless!
