What Does Red Line Extending From Ear To Chin Indicate?

Question: Earlier today I asked about my knee I hope you can see prior queries however I have a new development in my knee trouble two red streaks on each side of my face they look like slashes and go from my ear to my chin they don't hurt or itch but they are starting to look bruised in case you can't see my query from earlier long story shout hospital kept me for possible cellulitis UN confirmed release knee swells up tight and bruises again pain unbearable any ideas what I'm dealing with here two separate case or could they be related your advice would really help my make the choice to hit the er tonight other then wait till morning thank you.

Brief Answer: Regarding your symptoms Detailed Answer: Hello XXXXXXX Sorry to hear about your problems. From the first picture, it appears as a linear urticaria over your face (the line extending from your ear to chin. This can be due to many causes but is usually not serious and does not mandate going to the ER on an urgent basis. You can apply some skin soothing ointment and wait for it to subside by itself (in most cases it spontaneously does subside). Regarding your knee, it appears grossly swollen and if it is creating too much pain then you should make a visit to the ER as profound knee swelling with pain needs to be attended to on an urgent basis as it might signify acute infection of the knee joint. Do not make movements at the knee as much as possible so as not to aggravate the pain and take analgesics to control it. You can also resort to ice application to decrease the swelling.
