Brief Answer:
Reports are normal for pregnant condition. Urine c/s necessary in case of urinary symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic!
Thanks for consulting at HCM virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1.First of all do not panic.

2.I have gone through your reports.

a) CBC report- it is normal to have PCV of 35.9. It is due to dilution of blood from 12 weeks on wards during pregnancy. Also, TLC up to 12 000/cmm is normal for pregnancy.
As far as Neutrophils count is concerned, if you have fever any other symptoms of infection then only rise of Neutrophils has some significance.

b) Now about your urine reports,

I would like to know if you have any symptom of urinary tract infection, like pain or burning while urination, fever with chills etc.

If not please do not worry about 5 to 7 pus cells in the urine.

c) If you have urine symptoms, then better to get urine culture and sensitivity (C/S) done. This helps to find out exact pathogen- bacteria and appropriate antibiotic.

Your treating doctor can guide you about the same.

3. I will suggest you to keep private parts dry and clean. Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash daily during bath will be of help.

I hope this answer was helpful to you,
Afterwards please rate it as helpful and write a short review about your experience with me! I would appreciate that a lot.

Thank you and best regards!

Hi Doctor

Thanks for the advice , i am pretty satisfied with the response on CBC report anomalies.
But for Urine report currently i am not having any said symptoms of pain or burning . Is it still important to go for culture also please if you can highlight how we can avoid getting such infection.

Please if you can let me know that i should go again the same test to confirm , because the result was positive and what precautions to take during the test.

Brief Answer:
C/S will be helpful. Collect midstream urine sample.

Some women have a condition called as asymptomatic bacteruria. Means there are organisms detected by C/S test without patient having any problems, symptoms or complaints.

B. A fee suggestions for collection of urine, please get sterile sample collection bottle from the laboratory, and while passing urine try to collect midstream sample of urine.
It is advisable to wash and clean vaginal area and patient should separate labia when passing urine.

C. Maintaining vaginal hygiene and drinking plenty of water in the day will help prevent recurrence in the future.

Please follow the instructions that we have discussed earlier.

Brief Answer:
Reports are almost in range. Continue treatment. Repeat tests 3 monthly

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

I have gone through your reports.

TSH levels are in the given range of the laboratory, but as far as pregnancy is concerned in second and third trimester of pregnancy TSH levels should be below 3 uIU/ml.

Your reports show it just above the upper limits, and free T4 levels are in the range.
Please do continue the treatment as advised , as normal Thyroid function is a necessity for baby's physical and mental growth.

Please repeat the thyroid function tests after 3 months again and every 3 months.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
