Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

Hi, I am a 24 yr old female with a history of UTI s. I believe I have one and had a U/A done yesterday. I got the results today and am curious about what 20-40 WBC/HPF cells could mean. I also had 4-10 RBC/HPF cells, a 2+ leukocyte esterase and positive nitrite levels. could you help me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The urine test confirms the diagnosis of a urinary tract disease.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

I also suggest using Ciprofloxacin to treat the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
