Brief Answer:
No active treatment needed at present

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your scan reports are suggestive of kidneys stones which are very small. Normally, if a kidney stone is smaller than 5mm, it is likely to pass spontaneously in most patients. Stones greater than 10mm almost certainly will need treatment, while those stones measuring 6-10mm might need treatment in select circumstances, such as in aurplane pilots.
What you need to do at thus juncture us improve your fluid intake, maybe 3-4 litres per day. Restrict salt to less than 5gm per day. Restrict oxalate rich diet, such as spinach, red meat, dry fruits and nuts
See if you can get an ultrasound scan repeated after three months with this regimen and depending on the findings, we will assess if you need medications.
Hope you have no issue like a fever or painfil colic at present, in which case, you might need more active intervention.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Milk actually encouraged

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
If you take plenty of fluids, diet really does not matter. There's no need to restrict non veg as long as you do not take too much if it. Once or twice a week, red meat should be fine. Milk has calcium which will bind the oxalate in diet, thus actually preventing stones. We encourage our patients to take calcium in the form if milk or buttermilk once or twice daily. Avoid calcium as tablets. They can cause trouble. Avoid refined food. Try taking food with fibre. I also suggest that your entire family follows the same. Parathas and chapatis are fine, and so is rice ,all in moderation. This diet is useful in helping avoid other diseases such as cardiac or colonic issues as well.
Hope I have been of help.
