What Does My Scan Test Report Indicate?

Question: Hi Dr,

Guess all the background & history you know. I am going ahead with the frozen embryos after my miscarriage. But the preparation
of endometrium itself is not happening well. Went for a detailed scan today. Please find below the finding impressions:

- Endometrial thickness is 8.6 mms
- Focal extensions of the myometrium into the endometrium in the fundus measuring 7 x 7mm suggestive of adenomyosis.
- Polycystic morphology of both ovaries.

The Doc currently has told me to call off the ET. Way forward will be next cycle down regulating me & giving me Lupride
& taking it ahead.

What would you suggest? Please advise.

Thanks & regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Down regulation may not help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Your endometrial thickness is good. ET can be performed.

2) Hystersocopy may be needed to examine the uterine cavity if there is extension of myometrium into endometrium. If it is a fibroid, it can be removed.

3) Down regulation may not make much difference even next time.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Hysteroscopy has been performed twice & both the times there was nothing identified. Both the times polyp wasn't there. Fibriod hasnt been seen too.

What would you suggest? She mentioned the down regulation will shrink the thing since its too small to be considered. Is that true?

Any good Scan doctors you can suggest for a second opinion on this? Around Indiranagar & Koramagala? This is for tomorrow. Someone who can really recheck & let me know. Perfect findings.

Hope you understand my concerns. Really tired of this :(
