What Does My Scan Report Indicate?
Question: I had a delayed miscarriage 6 weeks ago. I went for a 12 week scan to find out my baby never started to grow it died at 6 weeks. I am ready to try again but really scared it will happen again. It took me 5 years to conceive will I be able to conceive again. I miscarried naturally at home and I am 41 years of age. All I want is to be a mum
I cant be investigated until had 3 miscarriages and cant have any assisted help as I have a bmi >30. Do you think I can conceive as I have conceived before without help

Chromosomal anomalies causing first trimester abortion are usually sporadic and do not tend to recur again in further pregnancies.
You should try to lose weight as obesity is also risk factor for miscarriage.
Yes, you can conceive as before, but in my opinion, you should take folic acid 2 months prior to planning conception and continue it for the first 3 months of pregnancy.
Folic acid is known to reduce the risk of anomalies in the fetus.

So you really do think this is a one off and should try again and you see I will conceive naturally again? I have never stopped taking folic acid as I knew I wanted to try straight after my first period
