What Does My Blood Report Indicate?
Question: my 05 yr old daughter is looking little dull for last few days..i got her blood tests done and found results as mentioned below.
Total wbc count7200/cmm
polymorphs 30%
lymphocyte 67%
monocyte 01%
eosinophil 02%
basophil 00%
absolute eosinophil count 144 cells/cmm

I have gone through the mentioned blood report. The total count is within the normal range and the number of polymorphonuclear neutrophils does not indicate the presence of any bacterial infection although some viral infection cannot be ruled out from the report.
It needs to be clinically correlated with her symptoms. Getting a C-reactive protein (CRP) level done should be helpful in this regard.
