What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?
Question: I'm looking for someone that knows subcutaneous veins inside the chest wall.
A few months ago I felt what I though to be something rib like on my upper right chest, right below my clavicle. It felt like it started at my sternum and made a slight upwards curve toward my clavicle. About 3 inches long and about an inch wide. It's not very thick, but it's palatable, hard and doesn't move. I can move my skin over it but I cannot move it, itself. It is not painful. It is not round, but more like a rib crossing perpendicular across my other ribs.
I've had an X-ray done, with no abnormalities found and I've also had an ultrasound done. The ultrasound noted a 1.5x0.5x1.5 cm solid lesion. I've attached the zip file with the images and report from my ultrasound.
Once the report came back I went for the MRI with and without contrast.
The radiologist report says no mass, but I have some images I'd like explained to me as what it is I'm looking at. I found some strange images in the exact place that I have this mass.
From review of the images, the feedback I've gotten is I'm looking at a intersection of veins. However, this is concerning for me as I don't see anything else in my subcutaneous chest wall tissue that resembles it at all. In addtion the "mass" is still in my chest and there is no sign of infection, cyst, or anything fluid filled. The ultrasound noted a solid lesion, but the MRI says what I'm seeing is just veins. I'd like some one who understands the chest wall veins to take a look and let me know their thoughts.

I've evaluated your attached images carefully and yes I can understand your concern.
This is likely to be a vascular malformation in your case in the veins.
It is clearly seen in the ultrasound and especially in MRI.
Their etiology is still not clearly known.
Usually, in such patients, the observation is done which means if there are no symptoms and especially no changes in its dimensions than nothing else will be done.
If its dimensions are widened after a period time that is decided by the radiologist then probably a surgical excision should be made.
However, despite the above, the veins don't contain high blood flow and their malformations are not dangerous so don't worry.
If you were my patient I would recommend you as follow up after 6 months and your doctor can discuss with an Angiologist for the treatment plan which means to excise it or not.
