Brief Answer:
Steroid will give relief

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

She can avoid sitting for long time, avoid sitting on hard furniture.

A steroid injection can be given for relief. She can take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days. Physiotherapy for hope extension exercises will also help.

Pain in the groin could be a hernia. Do get it looked at.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

What is "illiopsoas tendonosis"......would the pain management doctor be able to give a steroid directly into the tendon??

What kind of physical therapy is used for that specific tendon issue??

Is it a risk to give mother ibuprofen since she has one kidney???

Detailed Answer:
Iliopsoas tendinitis is inflammation of the Iliopsoas muscles insertion point in the lesser trochanter of the femur.

Physiotherapy in the form of hip strengthening, hip range of motion and extension exercises are helpful.

Steroid injection is given around the inflammed tendon and never into it.

Ibuprofen better be avoided in her.
