What Does My MRI Scan Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 22 Mar 2017
Question: I had an MRI done due to migraines and increased problems with my short-term memory. My MRI results states: "There is symmetric bilateral parietal white matter volume loss with mild periventricular FLAIR hyper intensity and ex vacuo dilatation of the trigones. Additional few tiny foci of FLAIR hyper intensity are scattered in bilateral cerebral white matter and pons."
What do theses results suggest and to which conditions (if any) could these results be attributed?

Brief Answer:
Provide images and blood reports

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Multiple white matter hyperintensities may be due to uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes, vasculitis, demyelinating disorders, vitamin B12 deficiency.
You need to upload images for evaluation.
Provide any blood reports if available.
Such mri changes have also been reported in migraine.
Nothing serious at present.
Continue treatment for migraine.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back to me for further information.
