What Does My ECG Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Fri, 14 Aug 2015
Question: Dear Doctor , I am 33years old, male, 173cm tall, weight about 78kg and no medical history .
Recently I relocated to China and had to go for a medical checkup.
The ECG result shows that I have sinus bradycardia with sinus arrhythmia and left axis deviation.
My heart beat rate was 48 strokes per minute. I run almost 5 times per week at least 40 minutes and I participate to marathons or half marathons.
Is the sinus bradycardia w. sinus arrhythmia and left axis deviation compatible with my sports activity or should I consult a cardiologist for further exams?
The Doctors also found signs of fatty liver and suggested me to lose weight and have a low fat diet.
From blood tests: HDL 1.60 mmol/L, LDL 3.20 mmol/L and TG 0.62 mmol/L

Brief Answer:
Can you upload the ecg image for me please?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

First of all it looks like an ecg machine interpretation that need to be confirmed by a specialist. In most of the cases these findings are very common in trained athletes as you are. As a such you shouldn't worry.

However I would like to check your ecg by my self. Can you upload the ecg image for me please?

Meantime I would recommend to continue with a diet poor on fats and reach on vegetables.

I'm waiting for the ecg to be uploaded.
Wish you health!

Dear Dr. Shehu,

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately the health center did not attach the ECG image, but only reported the result...

Better to ask for further examinations?

In order to relieve your concerns and to clear any doubt I would recommend to contact a cardiologist.

If you were my patient i would like to recommend the following examinations in order to exclude any cardiac problems:
