What Does Dull Pain In The Testicles After Vasectomy Indicate?
Question: I am a 58 yr old male, had a vasectomy about 16 years ago. I have constant dull/achy pain in my testicles/prostate region, often feels like it extends from base of shaft up my urethra (not to tip though) . Pain worse just preceding and during ejaculation. Also I think I have onset of ED (erection does not get very hard). Symptoms don't match any of those for STDs and anyway I just got tested for STDs, all negative. Doc says I do have slightly enlarged prostate, but that doesn't explain the symptoms, does it? This has been going on for 5-6 months. Help please!

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have dull pain in testicles and painful ejaculation with ED since last 6 months .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1)Do you have urinary symptoms like frequency for urination ,nocturnal frequency ,urgency or hesitancy suggestive of enlarged prostate which is common at this age?
2) Are you diabetic?
3) Are you taking any medications ?
Symptoms that you have are suggestive of infection of Prostate ( Prostatitis) and needs to be confirmed
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Semen examination and culture .
5) Swab test and culture of urethral discharge obtained after prostate massage.
In the mean while start taking antibiotics like Doxicycline twice daily Lateron switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report
Taking Cialis 5mg once daily will help to improve urine flow and resolve your problem of ED.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Answers:
1) Yes, I do have some urinary symptoms - 2-3 times waking up at night for urination, some urgency, but most annoying/prominent is the constant dull aching (feels like my testicles but perhaps radiating from my prostate/base of penis).
2) Not diabetic as far as I know but my father was (Type 2). Interestingly I am experiencing some symptoms similar to diabetes (eg, tingling/pain in feet/toes) but I think I would have the other symptoms as well, don't you? Maybe just bad circulation? I am fairly active and not overweight (188 lbs, 5'10") but don't get much aerobic exercise
3) Not taking any medications
A couple questions:
1. Assume I am diagnosed by a urologist with Prostatisis and the anti-biotics work, is it likely to recur? Ie, how do things down there even get infected and is there anything I can do to avoid recurrence?
2. Is Doxicycline over the counter in the U.S., or would I need a prescription?
3. Can I get Cialis by e-commerce/mail in the U.S. (safely) or do I need a prescription? Is there a safe website you recommend?
4. So it sounds like I shouldn't be too worried about prostate cancer at this point, more than likely an infection//inflammation
