Question: Thick shelf/band like structure noted .nant .These are the below observations.
1.CRL is 5.68 cms

2.NT is 1.90 mm

3. FHR 160 bol.

4 Thick shelf/band like structure noted associated with the edge of placenta most likely suggestive of circumvallate placenta.

The crown-rump length of the fetus is corresponding to about 12 weeks gestation. The nuchal translucency is within normal limits. The fetal heart rate also is well within the normal range.

The diagnosis of circumvallate placenta through sonogram is not always accurate. A repeat sonogram, associated medical history like previous illnesses, history of curettage in the past etc., may help in arriving at a conclusion.

Management requires good monitoring facilities during labor and once pregnancy enters term.
