What Does Clear Nipple Discharge When On Humira Suggest?
Question: Hi, I am on Humira for the last 6 month and couple of days ago noticed clear nipple discharge, mostly from one of my right breast. It is listed as one of the Humira's side effects. what does it mean? I also have a hypothyroid condition. Thank you!

well yes humira can cause nipple discharge. you need to consult your physician as the discharge can be due to an infection which is a common problem. when the patient is on biologics. I would suggest you get an ultrasound of the breast and culture of the discharge done. that would give us a clue on if it is infectious or not.
if it is OK then you should get your prolactin levels done. in Rheumatoid arthritis when the disease gets controlled/,/the horomones can fluctuate. that can cause this discharge.

Thank you for your reply! I am scheduLed to see my doctor in two weeks time because I will be on the business trip till then. Can this wait that long? The discharge is not significant but I noticed because I never had it before. Thanks again.
