What Does Cervical Incontinence In NT Scan Report Indicate?
Question: hello Doctor,
I had my NT scan done 3 days back & have attached the reports for the same.
My doctor has advised that she is going to put stitches on 1st Dec as I have a history of miscarriage at 19 weeks. And the only reason which the doctor could conclude that time was cervical incompetence.
Could you please let know if the stitches are really necessary ? If yes, are there any complications involved in the process ? What precautions will I have to take after getting those stitches ?

Yes, the NT scan report is just fine.
See, the only reason found for the miscarriage was cervical incompetence.
SO it makes sense to take precautions for that, so that we minimize the chances of that happening again.
So yes, please go for the os tightening stitches.
There is very low risk of bleeding while getting the stitches, but then there is a higher risk of repeat miscarriage if the stitches are not taken.
After the stitches, you will have to rest for a few days, no other precautions.
Avoid lifting heavy weights, avoid travelling, stress, intercourse.
