Hi. I have read your question and can understand your concern.
The location of bleed which you have mentioned needs to determined whether it is coming from buccal mucosa or from internal organs.
I can assure you if it's only coming from gingiva (gums)then it's not a serious issue. Condition is called gingivitis. Can be due to poor hygiene, Your previous smoking habits or due to poor technique of brushing.
If this cause can be ruled out ,then in my clinic i specifically recommend Pt/apt , full blood counts and chest xray ( keeping in view your smoking history) also xray PNS (for sinusitis)
In short I would advice you to visit your doctor and get your self checked. In my opinion it seems to be a local pathology. You can discuss above mentioned investigations and condition with your doctor.

Cancer is the last resort and rarer entity. When it presents blood in saliva is not the only presentation so dont worry about rarest. Think commonest and treat them.
As i mentioned smoking cessation recently has been the likely cause of the oral bleeding but now that you mentioned blood in stools as well. I would strongly suggest a work up of a complete bleeding profile as i mentioned earlier too and also an endoscopy of the lower GI tract to sort out the cause of the bleeding.

Meanwhile garlic water and aspirin mouth rinses will help the oral spitting mucosa and underlying likely inflammation and hygiene. And earlier consult to a gastroenterologist would be advised if the bleeding per rectum recurrs.
