What Does D1/D2 Mean?

Question: Hello I am having a Gastroscopy tomorrow and on my form is says +D1/D2
Can you explain what this means please?

Hi,

These terms refer to the duodenum which it the part of the small intestine that follows on from the stomach. D1 refers to the first part and D2 to the second part. Therefore, you will be having a gastroscopy which will also look at your stomach and duodenum.
