Brief Answer:
Considerations.

Detailed Answer:
hello and thanks for sending the question.

Your question is a very good one and I will work on providing you with some information and recommendations. Your blood pressure is not bad but still we would like to ideally see it more in the hundred and 20/80 range.

at this point we would usually recommend diet and lifestyle modifications in order to optimize blood pressure. This would include exercise at least 4 to 5 days per week. Also you should try to work on your body composition to make sure you are close to an ideal weight.

Regarding stress this is something that is very difficult to control sometimes but if you exercise and eat well it will actually help the stress also in my opinion.

if your blood pressure remains elevated your doctor might consider putting you want to low dose of medication to bring it back more towards an ideal range. This would usually happen after a few months of trying lifestyle and diet modifications.

If your blood pressure remains in the current range I would suggest that you see your doctor for a focused consultation and examination to see if you might need to consider some type of medication.

Thanks again for sending your question. Please let us know if you have any additional specific concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga

Doc, thanks for your response. Could some drugs like antibiotics contribute to higher BP? I've been on ciproflaxin and ixime for a while .

generally antibiotics would not contribute to elevated blood pressure. I think it is something other than that.

Thanks again for sharing your healthcare concerns.

Detailed Answer:
thanks again for the additional information.

I think if the pain is continuing you should probably see your doctor for a good examination. Sometimes antibiotics might be needed if there was some type of infection or inflammation going on.

I'm glad to hear that your blood pressure is better.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
