?? Bleeding disorder, liver disease, nutritional def?

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help.

Bleeding without any injury or apparent trauma can occur due to a few underlying conditions which I shall list out for your reference:

+Bleeding or coagulation disorders: I recommend a bleeding and coagulation profile

+Liver abnormalities: Requires a liver function test (blood test) and/or accompanied by an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and pelvis

+Side effect of medications: Please let me know if you are on any medications

+Nutritional deficiencies: Especially vitamin K deficiency

and a few other causes.

I would recommend a visit to your physician who will take a few blood samples, and should be able to find the cause so we can address it accordingly ma'am.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Hi My symptoms: small red ( blood ) spots under skin . It dissapered for moment after being pressed. Feel some like needle pins all over skin but dont know if this tiny itch is connected with apperiance of red spots. About 50 spots, some of them bigger (pin head) others hardly visible. The itch stops in few seconds but it repeats in intervals of half hour, maybe one hour in completly different place of skin. Blood is OK, some light diabetes present and slightly high blood preasure. Hello, my 3 and half years old daughter has unexplained soft swelling with small bump on her center-right of front head. When my wife put icepack on it yesterday, it went away. But today, although the general swelling was down, but the bump is still clearly obvious. Wow and why this happened? What should we do now? Thanks

My father age 83 had an obdominal aortic aneurysm repair with stints. (it measured 5.0x4.8) He had trouble coming off the vent after surgery, after 2 weeks in ICU we were told he was having heart failure a cath was done showing 3 blockages on the left side of heart. They transferred him to another Hosp and performed openheart surgery, which was successful. He was encouraged to cough alot, which he was having dificulty with. I think after 2 surgeries in a short time he was weak. We were told he needed to go to sub acute rehab so he could be able to walk with his cane before coming home. Six years ago he had a bleed in the brain which left his left side numb which made it difficult after heart surgery for him to not put pressure on the chest area. One day after my dad was trasferred to rehab he was found with significant amount of blood from his rectum and his bp had dropped. He was given CPR on the way to the Hosp. A week later in ICU they said his organs were failing and he should go to Hospice, he died the next evening. I just don t understand what could have happened??? Could heart medicine cause him to bleed internally or what???
