What Do These Ultrasound Reports Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Sep 2015
Question: Recently had ultrasound and the results say there is post traumatic echogenetic change to the subcutaneous fat at the medial calf relative to the contrateral side. There is normal course to the visualised sciatic and peroneal nerve although difficult to trace peroneal nerve below mid calf level due to the small size and branching.
What does this mean?

Brief Answer:
The ultrasound reports shows normal nerves.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your ultrasound report.

The best news is that there is no injury or damage to the nerves of legs.

There is injury to the soft tissue and that would get better with simple medications over 1-2 weeks.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
