Brief Answer:
The baby's growth lags by one week.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
I have seen the attached report. The baby is showing a growth lag of one week and the amniotic fluid is reduced. At the full term pregnancy, it is best to go for a non stress test and in case the baby's movements are also reduced then it needs an induction of labor. You also need to consult your gynecologist for proper protein supplements to increase the amount of liquor.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

Thanks Doctor. My gynecologist has given the Injection - Betnosol 12mg today & have asked to take another after 24hours. Along with this she has given Health Supplement (L-Arginine,DHA and Lycopene Granules) Satchet to drink with water. She has asked to have the scan performed on Thursday to check the amount of liquor. The doctor has advised if this doesn't increase we might need to go for cesarean immediately on thursday. Please advice.

I am having back pain & right leg cramping from past one hour. Please let me know if this is any symptoms to decrease in liquor amount.

Brief Answer:
Your gynecologist has suggested correctly.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The injection Betnesol is given for maturity of the lungs of the baby. Start taking the supplements as advised by your gynecologist and in case the liquor decreases on repeat scan then it is best to go for cesarean delivery for the safety of the baby.
The back pain can be postural. The leg cramping can be due to decreased fluid intake. This is not due to decrease in amount of liquor.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Thank you Doctor. Final question - in case the liquor decreases on repeat scan will the baby be fully matured if we go for cesarean delivery within 1 or 2 days? Will we have any risks?

Brief Answer:
Baby attains full maturity by 37 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
The baby is usually fully matured by 37 weeks. The injection that has been given to you is for baby's maturity. After 3 days the baby can be delivered and is likely to be fully mature.
Regards.
