Question: I have an umbilical hernia and it's been fixed once. Lately I have stomach cramps, and alternate between diarrhea and regular but with brown water as well. I feel queazy and often have cramps before I go. I am no longer hungry much and food isn't appealing. I have been overweight and have been working on weight loss and so far I have lost 70 lbs causing my recently diagnosed diabetes to become pre-diabetes.

Brief Answer:
not related to hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
I dont think this is related to hernia and previous surgery. This is gatroenterologic issue and further tests are required. It means that colonoscopy and gastroscopy should be done. Most common causes are benign such as food allergy, irritable colon syndrome or colon polyps, however, it would be good to rule out some more serious diagnoses such as inflammatory bowl diseases, tumors or parasitic infection. SO you should see gastroenterologist and till that, you should have bland diet, drink probiotics, milk products, high fibre food, avoid fried food, alcohol and carbonated drinks. Wish you good health. Regards
