Please provide some additional information

1. Do you still have the regular periods ?

3. Are you currently on any medication ?

Brief Answer:
Fibroid treatment involves either nothing, hormones, or surgery

Detailed Answer:
Fibroids, as you probably know, are extremely common. They do NOT become cancer but they are associated with heavy, painful periods. They tend to grow unpredictably, but they seem to evolve in women in their mid to late 40's. Their management is relatively straightforward but it might depend on their exact location. You can:

1. Do nothing, knowing that they will not turn into cancer
2. You could go onto birth control pills which would lessen the bleeding or cramping
3. If the fibroids were in the uterine lining, they might be amenable to resection using a camera through the cervix
4. You could pursue a hysterectomy - this is the most definitive way to deal with the fibroid uterus.

Hello Doctor, I am chitra. My age is 40. In 2005 I got an operation for myomectomy. In past 3 years again the fibroid is growing. so every year I scanned. Last year result is bulky uterus with fundal fibroid, posterior wall seedling fibroid with elongated cervix and prominent endometrium. Both ovaries appear polycystic. After the surgery in 2005 onwards I got a severe stomac pain during periods. Doctor prescribed a pain killer named meftal spas. I used the medicine in every period. But the pain is problem for me. So please give me a suggestion for relief. Thank you.

My daughter had an abortion seven weeks ago and is still bleeding and clotting. She has been to her gynocologist with these issues but still is having the problem. She had an ultrasound and blood work done to see if she was still pregnant or had pregnancy tissue left in her uterus. The doctornsaid she is fine and the bleeding will stop. Some times it stops but when least expected she will bleeds through her clothes profusely. Her tampon comes out and so does large clots with bright red blood. It is not her period! She is seeing her doctor tomorrow for more answers to this issue. Could there have been damage to her uterus during the abortion? I think her doctor wants to do an abalation? /D&C? Do you think this is the answer or do you have any other recommendations. She can t live a normal life at the moment because of this excessive and unpredictable bleeding. Thank you for your help.

Hello. I m 62, my periods stopped 16 years ago, and I ve had a fairly easy menopause, apart from a bit of flushing. My health is good qnd I normally have good energy. But these last few days I have had a period type discomfort, a sort of low-level pain. Not the excrutiating cramps as in the first day of the period, but that yucky sensation around the uterus/ lower back/ bowel area that women get as the period is approaching. Thanks
