What Do Occasional Pain In The Groin Area Suggest?

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Sep 2015
Question: I have occasionally aches in my groin. They often don't last long but at times can be very sharp. I have also noticed some discomfort in left testicle. Not so much the testicle itself but some type of tissue above it. When I feel the testicles there are two pea sized knots on the top of each one that are connected to a string of tissue. It is that tissue that can be very sensitive at times. When I notice the testicle aching and feel around..this is where the pain is coming from. Again, it does not last long but is very uncomfortable. I am concerned about this and was wondering what this could be.

Brief Answer:
You need to consult quaalified Urologist .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have discomfort in testicle and have noticed two pea sized knots in scrotum.

This could be mostly due to either Epididymitis or Spermatocele which needs to be confirmed by clinical examination by a qualified Urologist .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and Scrotum.

In the mean while take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
