Brief Answer:
High leukocyte esterase suggests urinary tract infection, BJ protein seen in plasma cell dyscrasias.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Bence XXXXXXX (BJ) protein is an abnormal protein which is detected in urine in case of plasma cell dyscrasias.
I suggest you to get serum protein electrophoresis and urine protein electrophoresis.
These two tests are essential to establish any diagnosis.
Presence of high leukocyte esterase in urine suggests urinary tract infection.
I suggest you to get urine culture.
urine culture will determine the organism causing urinary tract infection and the most appropriate antibiotic.
High erythrocyte can accompany infection.

In addition, I also suggest you to get a complete blood count and peripheral blood smears examination.

Thanks and take care

Brief Answer:
24 urine protein is also relevant test in this scenario.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
24 urine protein is also recommended.
Bence XXXXXXX protein is not same as immunofixation.
Presence of Bence XXXXXXX proteins is an indication that all may not be normal and further investigations are required.
To make it simple for you, I will enumerate the tests which you need to take up:
1. Complete blood count and Peripheral blood smear examination
2. Serum protein electrophoresis
3. Urine protein electrophoresis
4. 24 hr urine protein
5. Urine culture

You may post the result of all these investigations when done.

Thanks and take care

Brief Answer:
Thanks for the test reports

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
Thanks for posting your test reports.
You have already posted these test reports previously.
The 24 urine protein is within range.
The abnormality detected is presence of Bence XXXXXXX protein (lambda chain) in urine.
Presence of leukocyte esterase suggests urinary tract infection and thus urine culture is required.
This calls for further investigations as mentioned previously.
You need to consult your hematologist for prescription of the tests.
You may upload the reports when all tests are done.

Thanks and take care
