Brief Answer:
Heart rate of 96 per minute is at upper limit of normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. A heart rate of 96 per minute is acceptable. Up to 100 bpm it can be taken as normal.

2. Blood pressure is a dynamic variable. It keeps varying as per the conditions in the body. It is important to measure blood pressure after 30 minutes of physical and mental relaxation.

3. You have not mentioned the exact value of the blood pressure recorded in you. It is possible that you had a momentary increase in blood pressure because of anxiety and this is commonly seen in young people.

4. In my opinion, please rest for a while and relax if you feel you are in anxiety and stressed out.

5. Please have your blood pressure recorded after 30 minutes of rest on three consecutive days and at the same time of the day. If it is persistently elevated above 140/ 90 mm Hg then you might require medicines to control it.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
