What Causes Whitened Area On Penis Head?

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Dec 2015
Question: Hello, I have developed a white area on the bottom of the head of my penis. It looks like no blood flow is going there. I am 26 year old male and healthy. It's not an infection or on the top of the skin. It's like when you press an area of skin it turns white, and then it goes back to normal. But it's just stuck in that white state. It happened after masturbating about 6 months ago. I think I may have permanently damaged it as the color has not came back. It doesn't hurt, but the white spot tingles/has pokey pains when erect. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Brief Answer:
Dryness irritation and yeast infction can cause this.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your picture. This can be due to recurrent yeast infection or dryness or irritation from the chemicals like soaps you use.

Avoid soaps and irritants to wash the area. Instead you can use saline or warm water. Ointments containing antifungal agents like miconazole and corticosteroid like hydrocortisone for local application will be helpful for this.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

The problem is not an infection. It is underneath the skin. I often masturbate with water based lubricant and one night about 6 months ago I noticed that area turning white. Like from straining it too hard. Ever since that night the color never returned. As I said, it's as if there is no blood flow or very little. There is nothing on the surface of the skin.

Imagine for example when you press down on your fingernail. The area underneath will temporarily turn white and then return when you take the pressure off. This same thing is exactly what happened other than the color never returned. Does this make more sense?

Brief Answer:
Decreased moisturization or iritaion can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Bottom of head and frenulum area are more sensitive. Decreased moisturization or irritation can be the reason. Avoid the lubricant also as the irritation can be due to that also. Using moisturizers like liquid paraffin based creams or coconut oil is helpful for this. Or you can use aloe vera gel.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Thank you for your help. Just so I'm understanding clearly. You do think that the decreased bloodflow to this area of the penis can be restored if I stop using lubricant and apply aloe vera gel or coconut oil? How often would you recommend applying this? And approximately how long do you think until the bloodflow will return? Is it possible that the tissue could have been damaged and the bloodflow will never return? Thanks

Brief Answer:
Yes, moisturising the area will gives improvement.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Moisturising the area will gives you improvement to the present problem. You can apply coconut oil or aloe Vera gel daily or once in 2 days. Moisturization will helps in increasing blood circulation also. If any superficial tissue is damaged it will get peeled off.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
