Brief Answer:
This is due to nose block

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

In children, the size of the nostril is small and as a result it gets block in night due to cold temperature.

Since, your doctor has examined the child and according to him, examination is normal so there is no need to worry.

Make your child wear warm clothes at night and cover him with blanket.

This is a normal thing and it will improve as child grows.

I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.

The sound comes even in afternoon when she sleeps.
Its been a month, that sound is not going .It is like cough, even after medicine she should get some relief.but cant see any relief.Medicines taken are
Monticope,Tuspel Plus,Omnacortil. Before these she took Brozeet-LS,Sinarest.With all these medicines I cant find any difference in her wheezing sound.
Doc is not prescribing nebulizer,I think with nebulizer it will go.Plz suggest what to do and could it lead to asthama?

Brief Answer:
Nothing needs to be done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.

Nebuliser and medicines are given only when there is wheezing and problem in chest. Since, according to doctor the chest is normal so no medicines needs to be given.

If you feel that sound is increasing or getting worse then get child re-examined by doctor.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
This is not wheezing

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is not wheezing, this sound is coming from nose due to nose block. There is no risk of asthma in this.

Wheezing episode needs nebulisation to settle and if wheezing episodes increase then only there are chances of asthma.

More than 90 percent children do not have wheezing episodes after 5 years of age. But you should not worry because this is not a wheezing episode.

Take care.
