Question: I've had weak left arm and naseau and sweating since yesterday evening. Went to the regular dr's office this morning and they did ekg and blood work. Ekg was fine and blood work showed low platelets. Blood pressure is high. 150 over 80. They prescribed bp meds that I got filled and took one. Since then I still feel naseous and bp is now 158 over 98. Should I go to the emergency room?

Brief Answer:
Need more information

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

For answering to your query I will need more information
1. Could you write what medication did you take today and dose
2. Do you still have weakness of left arm
3. Have your doctor examined your neurological status (weak left arm, eyes, etc)

Yes, my left arm is still weak not as bad as yesterday but still noticeably weaker. I am still sick feeling. I took Lisinopril 10 MG after Dr apt this morning at 9 A.M. My blood pressure at 3:00 p.m. was 151 over 98. I've never taken this medication before and this is the first time for all of these symptoms. Am still having pressure in my chest and upper back also.

Brief Answer:
Welcome back

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

In this case we have two options
1. You can take another 5 mg Lisinopril
2. To be in the safe side you can refer to ER. As it is better to go to ER once more than to omit something. Your neurological status should be evaluated and ECG and cardiac enzymes repeated.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
