What Causes Vertigo?

default
Posted on Wed, 5 Nov 2014
Question: Are there varying degrees of vertigo? I feel strangely light-headed for some reason. Not trying to be vague but the only way I can explain it is "it just doesn't feel right" I have had vertigo before, and this feels like a much milder version of that. Is that possible, or are there other possibilities?

Thanks...

Brief Answer:
Yes, such vertigo/symptoms are possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, such vertigo/symptoms are possible.

Causes can be reduced blood supply to brain, cervical spine degeneration, compressed nerve, neck blood vessels plaques, reduced blood to brain/infarct, something touching 7th or 8th nerve, electrolyte imbalance, high blood pressure, medications, inner ear infection/issues, blocked eustachian tube , high sugar or even anxiety.

One needs clinical evaluation and investigation to determine the cause. So I would suggest you to bring this to notice of your doctor.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
