Question: This is for my wife, 69 y/o female, with intermittent fever x 10 + days. Exhaustion, feels faint on rising. irregular heart beat esp. lying down. GI gas and burping(after water or liquids). Very sensitive to light and noise, needs blinds drawn and quiet.

Sudden onset (2:00 am) right shoulder pain alternating with upper right quadrant Abdomenal pain. These two pains often alternate with each other. Exhaustion is the most debilitating symptom. Appt with PCP in 4 days (9/21)

No additional reports, won't get to Dr's Appt till Wed 9/21.

Brief Answer:
supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. History fo colon cancer with chronic GI distress, abdominal abscesses at age of 69 are the reason for these exhaustion, GI gas and burping, and sensitivity to light and noise is a depression element which is a part of any chronic morbidity.

Now this sudden onset right quadrant pain radiating to the shoulder is likely a gastric discomfort , a part of her chronic GI distress and may respond to antacids like pepto , nexium and diet lifestyle adjustments like small frequent meals, adequate fluids, avoiding coffee, tea, cola, beer, alcohol, spicy foods, dairy products, processed canned foods etc. Prefer more fiber, and have adequate fluids.

These irregular heart beats need to be evaluated by EKG though. And fever needs antibiotics and work up to find focus of infection. I am sure once you are to your PCP, they will take care of that.

I hope it helps. Take good car eof her and yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
