Posted on Mon, 27 Jun 2016
Question: What are the tiny red spots on top of my mouth. The sore is a blister like bump and I've gotten those since I was young. The red dots aren't raised, just looks like little specks of blood under the skin. having horrible anxiety.

Brief Answer:
Do they hurt?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I have reviewed the attached image. These look like blood specks under the skin and really do not suggest any problematic disease condition. Given the fact that these have been there since childhood, it is likely that they could be related to a variance in blood vessels and need no special attention and more so if they do not cause any specific symptoms.

If you were to ask me, simply observe and nurse no special fears about this. It is probably a normal variance of blood vessels in this area and no reasons to worry that much.

they do not hurt. I just noticed them. the little ulcer that is next to them is what has come and gone since I was little. not the specks. I do think I've seen them before and they go away. just wanted to male sure you didn't feel it was cancerous

Brief Answer:
In no way cancerous!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is in no way suggestive of cancer. Cancers are really more complex than that. If that were your fear, please be relaxed about it.

I wish you well.
