Question: I wake up in the middle of the night feeling as if my hands and lower arms are asleep. This tingling sensation sometimes goes away and sometimes lasts for several hours. Today, the tingling sensation was present most of the day on my face arms and hands. Not sure what this is. Other than that, I feel completely normal

Brief Answer:
Inappropriate sleeping position to consider first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Since you feel completely normal besides tingling sensation in hands, arms, and face, your issues are probably caused by temporary impaired blood supply due to an inappropriate sleeping condition.

Changing the pillow, for example, may help to understand this condition better.

In the other hand, if these symptoms become more frequent and persistent, it is necessary to get evaluated by your Doctor about neurological conditions such cervical spondylosis, Chiari malformation, peripheral neuropathy, etc.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
