Hi XXXXXX,
Welcome to HCM. I've gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Please upload the CT and FNAC reports.
Do you have an infection anywhere in head of a dental infection? Are you having difficulty in swallowing?

Most probably the node in your neck is due to an infection. This usually will subside in a weeks time. In our practice if all other investigations are normal, we will start our patients on antibiotics for 1-2 weeks. If it is not subsiding you should revisit you doctor for detailed evaluation.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

Brief Answer:
Maximum of 2 weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,

Usually it takes 5-7 days for the infection to settle down. The maximum we can wait is 2 weeks. If it is not subsiding we have to re evaluate for other causes. You doctor may do a repeat Ultrasound neck or FNAC if needed.

Your ESR is slightly elevated. This is in favour of an infection. So don't worry, thing will subside in a few days time.
