Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are caused by increased fluid retention.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be caused by increased fluid retention, related to kidney dysfunction. Maybe it is a temporary dysfunction, caused by the performed surgery, but it needs to be monitored.

I recommend performing some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- kidney function tests
- liver function tests
- blood electrolytes
- an urine analysis.

A cardiac ultrasound may be needed to examine your heart function and structure if all the above tests result normal.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
