Question: feet and ankles very swollen...soaking feet in salts and hot water and liquid now draining through the skin

I have reviewed your question fully. Swollen legs could be caused by liver, kidney or heart problems. Other possible causes are malnutrition which should be very unlikely in your case. I will suggest that you get kidney, liver and heart investigations don. Have you ever been treated for hypertension or diabetes? Also, upload an image of these ankles for review and more insights.

In the meantime, reduce salt and fluids intake, try to always keep the legs raised and avoid being in an upright position if not very necessary.
