Brief Answer: Disc prolapse or vertebral fracture Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for using HCM. I went through your query and understood your concerns. I need few more details of your history to help you in a better way. Is it associated with loss of sensation in both legs? what about bowel and bladder control? Any tingling sensation in leg? If a patient comes to me with these symptom first I would like get detailed history and examination. With your history I can think of two possibilities. one disc prolapse or vertebral fracture causing compression over nerve. X-ray of lower spine and MRI of spinal canal helps in confirming condition. Early release of compression over nerve will result in better outcome. So better to consult your doctor early and get examined. Hope u answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query. I will be glade to answer them. Wish you a good health. Regards

Brief Answer: Disc prolapse, electrolyte imbalance Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for the information, Sudden weakness of such nature can be due to either : 1. A neurological disorder causing weakness in leg muscles 2. Elecrolyte imbalance in the body. Kindly check if you are on some medication which could cause the problem . Since it has occurred only now without any acute problem the second cause is more likely. Kindly get a serum electrolyte and nerve conduction test of the legs Start on some neurotropic like pregablin till then an drink plenty of water with electrolytes. Hope I answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query. Regards
