What Causes Stomach Pain And Lower Back Pain?

default
Posted on Sat, 23 Jul 2016
Question: Hello Doc. My wife is 25 years old. She has recently been suffering from some problems. She had a stomach ache every morning and also pain on her entire spine, moretowards the lower part. We visited a doctor who suggested some medicines, which I have attached. However recently she has also started getting vaginal bleeding after the start of medication. Also wanted to mention that we had done a full health checkup for her which suggested some infection near vagina. I am attaching the reports too. She would also be very weak immediately after having an intercourse. I am really concerned about this. Can it be realted to cancer. Can you suggest some test and also which specialist should we refer to?

Brief Answer:
Not related to cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
I have seen the attached blood report. It is almost normal. The pain in abdomen that your wife is having can be due to gastritis or a mild intestinal infection. The pain in lower back is likely to be due to muscle spasm or posture related. She has been prescribed correct medicines for that.
The mild vaginal bleeding can be due to impending periods, rough intercourse, mild vaginal infection or taking pain killers. In case the bleeding persists then do stop the pain killers.
The weakness after intercourse is due to lack of energy and decreased fluid intake. She can take electrolyte rich energy drinks to feel normal after and before sex.
All these are minor issues and are not related to any dangerous problem like cancer.
She needs a detailed evaluation by a general physician and continue with the medicines prescribed. Do concentrate on having a healthy diet, mild exercise and a stress free life.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thanks so much for yourvresponse doctor. It seems I was only able to attach 2 reports, so am attaching the other ones,as I am not aware of there relevance. Can you also help if this has anything to do with vitamin defeciency.

Brief Answer:
No vitamin deficiency detected.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I have seen the additional reports also. There is no vitamin deficiency involved. You can get her serum Vitamin D3 levels evaluated to rule out its deficiency.
Hope my answer is helpful.
