What Causes Spreading Rash After A Visiting Water Park?

default
Posted on Thu, 18 Sep 2014
Question: My son has developed a rash after a visit to a busy water park. He is otherwise very healthy. No other symptoms. Flesh colored bumps on all extremities.

He has been scratching, and we've used cortizone thinking it was just a chlorine rash. It has persisted however, and seems to be spreading.

Brief Answer:
Please, upload an iage of this rash.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this rash that your son has developed. To me, these symptoms, event and rash description are very suggestive of an allergy. I will recommend that you give him Benadryl as recommended by his pharmacist. This would take care of the itches in the meantime. If the image should suggest otherwise, I will then make further recommendations.

In all, sounds like allergy. Benadryl should help. Should the uploaded image suggests some other condition, we shall address that accordingly.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications is need be.
