Question: Hi so I have been on birth control for about 2 years now and I am sexually active. This week I am suppose to be on my period but I am having red discharge with no bleeding. I was wondering if that was normal of if I was...?

In my opinion, red discharge is mostly normal and due to effect of birth control pill and as a result of hormonal imbalance. Mental stress, pelvic or vaginal infection, old endometrial tissue etc are relative causes.

However, I suggest you to undergo one home pregnancy test to clear doubt as you are sexually active. Review with test result.
