What Causes Spot On Breast With Family History Of Breast Cancer?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Apr 2015
Question: My name is XXXXXX. I am 35 and I have question for you. I have a spot that has come up on my left breast. It's on the left side. It has been there since December of 2014. I thought it was a pimple at first, but it has never gone away. You can "pop" it I guess you could say but it's never puss it is a yellow/clear jelly like consistency. It will never heal. I am getting more and more concerned. My mother had several lumps in her breast that have been taken out but none were cancer. My maternal grandmother lost a breast and eventually her life to breast cancer. My aunt, my mom's sister has also had breast cancer. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Need to see a doctor soon

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
The kind of lesion you have could either simply be a sebaceous cyst or it could even be suggestive of something that needs further evaluation.
Although on first look, it looks like a cyst to me ,but owing to the family history of breast cancer in your case ,You surely need to see a doctor soon for a closer examination of the lesion to rule out anything dangerous
